George Town Festival presents Sutra – (Malaysia)
In connection with Sadlers Wells , Belgium choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui – whose recent choreography accolade includes Joe Wright’s film, Anna Karenina – will showcase a dance form that mirrors the skill, strength and spirituality of Buddhist Shaolin monks. The performance will play with 21 wooden boxes which are repositioned to create a dynamic dance setting, accompanied with a live score by Polish composer Szymon Brzoska
