Jess Cox has written string arrangements for bands and singer/songwriters such as S G Lewis, Terry Hall, The Specials, Band of Skulls, Ocean Colour Scene, Colin Blunstone (The Zombies) Tom Toomey (The Zombies), PP Arnold, Spiritualized, Burr Island and Tom Hickox.
2024 Jess orchestrated for The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s ‘Symphonic Rock’ Concert at The Royal Albert Hall and this year has arranged Sweet Child O’ Mine for the Hallé Orchestra at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
In 2015 Jess wrote string arrangements for Ocean Colour Scene’s 25th anniversary tour for her group ‘Q Strings’ to perform alongside the band as they toured the UK’s leading concert halls. She also has arranged numerous pop songs for her electric/acoustic group ‘Q Strings’ http://www.qstringsmusic.com
As co producer/musical director as well as arranger for London Symphonic Rock Orchestra. Jess has arranged numerous heavy metal and rock tracks for the unique 13 piece orchestra. A ground breaking combination of technology and arranging techniques which combine Roland V drums, guitar fx pedals alongside classical orchestral instruments and electric acoustic Bridge string instruments the orchestra recreates iconic tracks, performed 100% live with the most epic wall of sound!!
